# Members and roles

Every account has a personal workspace: your own credits, your own library. A paid plan lets you open a team workspace and invite people into it. The workspace has its own wallet of credits, and each member spends from it within an allocation you set.

Open **Workspace** from the account menu, or from the people icon next to a workspace's name.

## Seats

Seats come with the owner's plan. The owner is not counted. Pending invitations and suspended members hold their seats.

| Plan | Members you can invite |
| ------- | ---------------------- |
| Free | None |
| Starter | 5 |
| Creator | 10 |
| Pro | 15 |
| Studio | 20 |

When every seat is taken, the invite form says so: upgrade the plan or revoke a pending invite.

## Roles

| Role | Can |
| ------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Viewer | See the workspace's takes and assets. Cannot generate. |
| Editor | Generate within their allocation. Create projects. |
| Admin | Everything an Editor can, plus members, roles, allocations, invites, projects and folders, the wallet ledger and the workspace settings. |
| Owner | Everything, plus funding the wallet, transferring ownership and deleting the workspace. |

Nobody can change their own role, and the owner's role cannot be changed except by transferring ownership.

## Inviting someone

#### Send the invitation

On the **Members** tab, enter the email address, pick a role (Editor by default) and press **Invite**. The accept link is copied to your clipboard so you can send it yourself as well.

#### They accept

The invitee opens the link while signed in to roor with the same email address. The invitation is single-use and expires after 14 days. Under **Pending**, you can **Resend** (a fresh link and a fresh 14 days) or **Revoke**.

#### Give them credits

A new member has no allocation yet and cannot generate until they do. Set **Allocation / mo** in their row. Allocations reset with the plan month, and the row shows what they have used.

## Credits in a workspace

* Takes made while a workspace is active spend that workspace's wallet, not your personal balance. Your personal balance is what the credits pill in the header shows.
* The owner funds the wallet on the **Credits** tab: **Personal to workspace** moves credits from your balance, **Workspace to personal** moves them back, and **Buy credits** buys a pack straight into the wallet. Moves are instant and keep the credits' expiry.
* Members see their own monthly allocation, what they have used and what remains. Admins also see the wallet ledger.
* The owner spends without a cap in their own workspace.

Switch between your personal credits and a workspace from the account menu or the **Switch workspace** control. The toast confirms where you are working.

## Projects and sharing

Projects in a workspace are personal until they are shared. Sharing a project with chosen members lets exactly those people use it; they find it under **My projects** in Cinema Studio, marked with the owner's name.

## Visibility

A workspace admin sets **Default visibility for new takes** on the **Settings** tab:

* **Private**: only the maker sees the take.
* **Workspace**: every active member sees it in Community, under the workspace's own section. Someone who leaves loses access at once.
* **Public**: takes are still created private and queued for a reviewer as soon as they finish. Nothing goes public without approval. See [Community](/share/community).

## Managing members

From a member's row, an admin can change the role, **Suspend** or **Restore access**, and **Remove from workspace**. A suspended member keeps their seat but cannot generate.

## Transfer, leave, delete

On the **Settings** tab, the owner can **Transfer ownership** to an active member (the new owner's credit pool takes over; you stay on as Admin) or **Delete workspace**, which takes its projects and their takes with it. A member who is not the owner can **Leave**. An owner has to transfer ownership before leaving.
