# Presets

The studio has two kinds of preset. **Saved presets** are words you add to every prompt in a project. The **Motion & Effects library** is a set of ready-made camera moves and transformations for video.

## Saved presets

A saved preset holds a name, a **Prompt** (words added to every prompt), **Instructions** ("no logos, keep faces clear") and a **Negative prompt**. It does not store the model, the settings or references; that is what **Reuse** on a take is for.

Presets belong to a project. Image and Video keep separate lists. If you save one without a project, the studio creates a project called **My work** for it.

* The preset bar sits above the prompt: a project pill, a **Presets** pill, and the applied preset as a chip.
* Open **Presets** to pick one, edit it with the pencil, delete it with the bin, or **Save current as preset** from what you have typed.
* The chip shows how many prompt characters the preset uses. A preset counts against the model's prompt limit, and the counter under the prompt shows the preset's share first.
* Remove the chip with its cross to generate without it.

If a preset cannot be read when you generate, the studio refuses the take rather than quietly dropping the preset.

## Motion & Effects library

On the Video page, the **Motion & Effects** mode opens a library of presets applied to a still image.

* **Motion**: 47 camera moves in Zoom, Dolly, Crane, Orbit & Arc, Tilt & Pan, POV & Tracking, Lens FX, Timelapse and Stylized.
* **Effects**: 64 transformations in Transform, Character, Anime & Games, Emotion, Cinematic and World & Nature.

Search, filter by kind and category, hover a tile to see it play, and star the ones you use most. Stars are kept in your browser. A take made from a preset carries a **Preset** line in its details and a **Use this preset** action in its overlay.

## Cinema presets

Cinema Studio has its own saved looks: colour palettes and lighting setups, up to 50 of each. See [Cinema Studio](/tools/cinema-studio).
