# Content rules and moderation

Every prompt is checked before anything renders and before any credits are reserved. The full rules are in the [Acceptable Use Policy](https://studio.roor.ai/legal/acceptable-use). This page is the short version.

## What is refused

**Never, under any framing:** sexual content involving minors. An attempt suspends the account immediately, pending review, and may be reported to the authorities.

**Not permitted:**

* Pornographic material. Artistic nudity is allowed, but may be reviewed before it appears anywhere public.
* Depictions of real atrocities, torture or mutilation. Stylised violence in a clearly fictional setting is generally fine.
* Deepfakes: a real, identifiable person shown saying or doing something they did not. Public figures in obviously satirical or editorial contexts may be reviewed rather than refused.
* Weapons manufacture, explosives, or anything whose purpose is enabling serious physical harm.
* Work you have no right to use. See [Community](/share/community) for copyright complaints.

## What a refusal looks like

The console shows: **That prompt can't be generated under our Acceptable Use Policy. No credits were charged.** The message does not say which rule matched, on purpose. Reword the idea rather than the flagged phrase.

## When the model refuses

Sometimes the studio lets a prompt through and the model's own filter refuses it. The take fails with **The prompt was refused** or **A reference image was refused**, and the credits come back automatically. Rephrase the flagged part, or swap the image, and retry.

One case worth knowing: Seedance 2.0 and 2.5 refuse uploaded photos of realistic faces, including AI-made ones. Stylised characters pass. The console warns you before you generate. If you need a photoreal recurring character, tell the team through **Report a bug** and it can be registered with the provider once.

## Repeated attempts

Three different refused prompts within 30 days put the account on hold pending a human review. Retrying the same prompt counts once.

An account on hold sees a notice instead of the studio: **This account is suspended.** Generating and the library are paused; your takes and assets are untouched. Press **Email support** on that screen, or write to [support@roor.ai](mailto:support@roor.ai), and a person will look at it. Suspension is a hold, not a deletion.

## Appeals

If a legitimate prompt was refused, or your account was put on hold in error, write to [support@roor.ai](mailto:support@roor.ai) with the take code or the prompt. A person reads it.
